The Crafts

Two different crafts - optimised for vastly different surfaces

There are two different Greenbird crafts - one for ice and one for land. As these surfaces, their challenges and their properties are quite different, the vehicles are designed and optimised to respond to, and take advantage of, each surface. The land record run will be on a dry salt lake bed in Australia in early September 2008, and the ice record run will be on snow-free lake ice in Montana, USA, early 2009.
